Can't decide if you like long or short? Have both options with this style hero necklace that converts form long pendant to choker/lariat style.

  • Matte wood opalite stones and faceted metal beads strung on hand knotted tan nylon cord
  • Wood opalite is a type of petrified wood that has been impregnated with opal. It has a range of colors, primarily earth tones, including browns, grays, and creams.
  • Double sided pendant with raised spruce bough on one side, "believe achieve" or "perfectly imperfect" motto under domed resin on the reverse
  • 24k gold plated beads and pendant
  • Solid bronze bead caps
  • Length: 34-35" [86-89 cm] plus 5" drop for pendant [12.5 cm]
  • Handmade in the USA

This really is one of my favorite stones, an embodiment of nature and in bead form. I had originally crafted this style for myself, but much as I loved the spruce bough pendant, it frustrated the heck out of me when it would twist around to the reverse which was NOWHERE near as interesting. Which I realized, presented a perfect tiny canvas to put a daily mantra on! Believe Achieve, and Perfectly Imperfect, protected behind domed resin. Never let it be said that personal development and style savvy are not compatible.

Styling Tips

There are two equally great ways to wear this style hero: Worn full, it creates a look of elongation, perfect over tunics, sweaters, or as the longest piece in a layered necklace look.

The other option is to wear it short, pulling the tassel end through for a style that is part choker, part lariat, 100% cool and versatile.  We especially like the way this looks with a V-neck or open collared shirt. Gravity keeps the tassel threaded through, but take care not to shimmy 'n shake it off if you're getting your dance groove on.

The Do's

Handmade and hand knotted jewelry pieces are durable, but NOT indestructible. Be good to your jewelry and follow these tips to keep your items looking like new as long as possible:

  • Make jewelry the last thing to go on, after sunscreens, lotions and perfumes have been applied AND dried.
  • DO wear your jewelry with abandon, expressing your unique style, but remove it at the end of the day.
  • Clean stones and metal beads by gently wiping with a slightly damp, soft, non-abrasive cloth or chamois.
  • Store jewelry in a dark, cool, and dry space.
  • Gemstones are delicate and can chip or shatter on impact with hard surfaces. Please take care when handling and storing.
The Don'ts
  • Don't wear jewelry in the shower, while swimming in the pool or ocean, sunbathing, or while working up a serious sweat. Exposure to water, salt, and chemicals will tarnish, discolor, or wear away fine metal plating and may discolor and weaken beading cord.
  • Sunscreen, lotions, perfumes, and hairspray may be good on you, but are bad on your jewelry. Avoid direct contact with fine metal plating and gemstone beads as they can become stained or discolored.
  • Don't use metal cleaners, dips, or polishing agents as these will damage fine metal plating.
  • Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause some natural gemstones to lose their color and fade, so avoid storing jewelry in direct sunlight.
