About ZP

We’re all different… there’s something kind of fantastic about that, isn’t there? ~Fantastic Mr. Fox

Designer/artist Kerry Szympruch Welton

Kerry has a background in fashion design, merchandising, web design, graphics, copy writing, and marketing, but her first love (even before chocolate and coffee) was color - crayons, watercolors, fabrics, the variety of color in pebbles found at the beach. To avoid looking like everyone else, Kerry started making her own clothes and jewelry in high school. That individualism earned a few odd stares, but got her into art school. Zynk Palette gets back to her roots, showcasing Kerry's collection of hand crafted jewelry that allows each wearer to express their own unique personality and style, and fine art that reflects her love of color and natural materials. Pebble and nugget shapes, twig toggles, and "perfectly imperfect" stones and art are showcased here, along with the the stories of what inspired each piece. Everything is made in limited quantities because we believe quality comes in small batches. Artist made, not machine made.

Materials matter

Zynk Palette jewelry is made using real precious and semi precious stones, lead-free beads and findings that are plated in 24kt gold or sterling silver. Our prices reflect the quality and time that went into making each piece, priced in a way that is realistic and affordable for most (because solid gold is lovely, but it's a bit precious for everyday wear). We're not about fast fashion; we're about finding signature styles that compliment you, that can be enjoyed for years. We believe that perfection is boring (and unnatural). A little distressing, a hammered edge: it all adds character. You're not a carbon copy of anyone else - why would you want your jewelry to look the same as everyone else's?

I've never understood the need to be a copycat - to try and look the same as everyone else, to act the same, to aspire to the exact same lofty goal. How boring. Everyone has something unique inside of them, the trick is to have the confidence to let it out, critics be damned. Be focused on finding things that bring you joy, and just... enjoy them! Remember - what other people think of you is really none of your business. So march, run or skip to the beat of your own wacky, wonderful drummer!
