The colors of summer: tropical seas, white sand, blue skies, swirl together in chunky amazonite pebbles that are hand knotted on tan cording, suspended from strands of leather that allows you to tailor to whatever length best flatters you or your outfit. Not that you can’t wear this year-round, but it’s a natural for summer, worn with linens or all white, accented by a healthy summer glow. A simple slider bead allows for easy adjustment, with leather strands dangling down, adding interest to the back view.
Sometimes a stone calls to you – and these were like a siren’s song, tempting “buy me, buy me… figure it out later”. The matte texture and colors of these amazonite beads where MESMERIZING, so I knew I had to use them in a way that let me (this may sound weird) stare at them. You know, when I was bored? Or in need of mediation (that probably sounds better). Either way, the stones are so pretty with the ocean colors that they needed to shine all on their own, in a length long enough to be in my line of vision. These pretties I want to be able to see for myself all day.
| Styling Tips | Throw this necklace on for a quick pop of color, or pile on shorter necklaces of varying lengths for an artistic layered look. Or... get creative and make it your own, double wrapping the necklace, wearing the leather tassels down the front for a lariat look, or offset to the side. To adjust length, hold end of leather laces firmly in one hand, pinch the slider bead while holding leather taunt, and slide to desired length. |
