Simple, rustic, striking. A hammered, slender gold bar is threaded on matte black chain accented with a simple hook and eye closure in gold.

  • 24k gold plated rustic bar charm
  • Bar measures 1.25" long [3 cm]
  • 24k gold plated hook & eye closure
  • Oxidized matte black brass chain
  • Length: 17.25" [43.6 cm]
  • Handmade in the USA

The contrast of matte black combined with the shine of 24K gold has always appealed to me, and this was a natural evolution of the black + gold collection. The chain of these necklaces are daintier than the chunky black brass pieces in the collection, allowing the hammered bar to take center stage.

The Do's

Handmade jewelry pieces are durable, but NOT indestructible. Be good to your jewelry and follow these tips to keep your items looking like new as long as possible:

  • Make jewelry the last thing to go on, after sunscreens, lotions and perfumes have been applied AND dried.
  • DO wear your jewelry with abandon, expressing your unique style, but remove it at the end of the day.
  • Clean by gently wiping with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or chamois.
  • Store jewelry in a dark, cool, and dry space.
The Don'ts
  • Don't wear jewelry in the shower, while swimming in the pool or ocean, sunbathing, or while working up a serious sweat. Exposure to water, salt, and chemicals will tarnish, discolor, or wear away fine metal plating.
  • Sunscreen, lotions, perfumes, and hairspray may be good on you, but are bad on your jewelry. Avoid direct contact with fine metal plating as it can become stained or discolored.
  • Don't use metal cleaners, dips, or polishing agents as these will damage fine metal plating and finish on the black chain.
