The Do's

Handmade jewelry pieces are durable, but NOT indestructible. Be good to your jewelry and follow these tips to keep your items looking like new as long as possible:

  • Make jewelry the last thing to go on, after sunscreens, lotions and perfumes have been applied AND dried.
  • DO wear your jewelry with abandon, expressing your unique style, but remove it at the end of the day.
  • Clean by gently wiping with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or chamois. Avoid rubbing the front of the carbon charm
  • Store jewelry in a dark, cool, and dry space.
The Don'ts
  • Don't wear jewelry in the shower, while swimming in the pool or ocean, sunbathing, or while working up a serious sweat. Exposure to water, salt, and chemicals will tarnish, discolor, or wear away fine metal plating.
  • Sunscreen, lotions, perfumes, and hairspray may be good on you, but are bad on your jewelry. Avoid direct contact with fine metal plating as it can become stained or discolored.
  • Don't use metal cleaners, dips, or polishing agents as these will damage fine metal plating and finish on the black brass.
